Had this on tap at the brewery in Sylva. Described by the employee as Gopher Ale made with honey, but I suspect there may be other differences.

A: a hazy golden amber with a good bit of visible carbonation. A generous size white head was very short-lived.

S: light malt and honey, with hints of vague fruits, flowers and yeast.

T: mild; lightly sweet with a honey component and a light fruitiness. An enjoyable yeast component comes out in the finish and aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: good, medium+ carbonation; near medium body.

Overall: a modestly refreshing beer that is slightly above average but WAY better than the Gnarly Gnome that precede it.

Had the priviledge of trying this one on tap at the brewery this afternoon.

This one presented a nice golden yellow with a good bit of haze to it. Lots of vibrant carbonation streaking up throughout. A nice inch and a half head of white settled down to a broken crown, but a very solid look here. The nose was light, peaches, banana and a touch of light grass. Some light yeasties as it warmed. The flavor was more of the same, crisp, clean and quick would be a good way to describe this one. Light touches of peach and apple mixed with a light grain base and hints of grass. Some very light sweetness, I assume from the honey in the middle, but not really a dominant factor here.Quick finish with a nice mouthfeel and good carbonation.

Overall a very solid little session beer, and a nice way to start my afternoon. I could drink more of this one with ease, Solid offering for sure.

This beer accompanied a pizza at Nick and Nate's in Sylva, NC.

It arrived at my table with a dark yellow hue and lean, white, foamy head that continued to bubble up from the bottom for quite some time. Very light aromas of malts and hops are detected, as well as a mild floral and honey characteristic. The taste is indeed light, with that same floral and honey essence coming to the forefront. Light malts and a decent hop finish make for a nice, if not extraordinary, beer. It's easy to drink and good for its style.

The beer arrived on the bar hazy pale golden with a murky amber hue and a white frothy head which lasted for days.

The aroma was lightly fruity with a husky and grainy aroma and a lightly sweet aromatic.

The flavor was lightly fruity with a higher than expected bittering which had a grassy character. The beer was well bittered but had no sweetness and no honey character.

The finish was dry with a lasting bit of grassy bittering into the aftertaste. The body was medium with a watery consistency. Decent beer, but very boring.

Pint at Guadalupe in Sylva.

I have tried this beer at the brewery several times and will probably get a growler of it in the future.

Appearance – This beer is a semi-cloudy deep yellow with a 1/3” head that hold on for about half the secession. Moderate carbonation.

Nose – A light honey and grain nose.

Taste – A smooth honey and lightly floral flavor that gets better as it warms.

Mouthfeel – It has a slick and smooth medium mouthfeel.

Drinkability – Very drinkable. It has a light body that will not be quickly filling.

Sample at the brewery.

This beer was a slightly cloudy yellow color. The smell was a sweet honey like smell. The taste was sweet with a nice smooth finish. The mouthfeel was good. A smooth beer that I could drink again. This beer when combined with the brewerys stout made a nice black and tan. This was the smallest brewery that I have visited but they are doing great things with limited resources.
