Poured into a mug: color is hazy straw, head is bright white but presents huge - a bit overcarbonated, but good lacing on the glass sides.
Aroma is malt, slight toast, some vegetal quality interspersed with grassy aromas.
Taste is malty, grassy, slight vegetal quality, just not jiving as a pilsner to me.
Mouthfeel is crisp, sharp, a bit too carbonated and sharp on the tongue.
Overall a bit off as a pilsner to me, but some of the components are there.

Picked up a can to fill a 6 pack of Pilsners and was very impressed with this beer. Beautiful foam and lots of lacing. Very drinkable with some good hop spice and a nice malt presence. Believe I will have another. Very much recommend this beer.

Hints of citrus and hops with high fizz makes this not your usual Pilsner. Not bad.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Beautiful, thick and persistent head, great lacing. Clear yellow in color. Odd but pleasant smell, earthy, peppery. Taste is good, breads. Overall pretty good. One of a combo pack from this brewery I pilfered from my sister in law during Christmas!

Nice taste.....but the carbonation kills it...it takes a greasy nose hair to kill the foam... wtf north counrtry???? You know its true fix it...

DATE: August 12, 2016... OCCASION: After a construction-related trip, we are now settling in at Uncle Jer's... GLASSWARE: Penn State pilsner... pours a light golden body with sparse effervescence... the head, courtesy of a can in crisis, explodes with thick white froth that settles to thick glass-clinging algae and an even quarter-finger topping... an intriguing, slightly funky lemon grass crops up in the nostrils, while the hops also suggest softened Saaz ping... the malts are doughy, with barnyard funk an unwelcome suggestion... smooth, sippable to the point of slammable... light in body and effervescent enough to refresh... little aftertaste, with a dry finish... flavors include lemongrass, sourdough, flowers, apple and pear....on a humid, hot night, this beer is a reasonable compliment, refreshing enough... the first I had from this brewery, this pilsner suggests that others in their portfolio are worth tasting...

Enjoyed from the can in a pint glass. This interesting pils pours a cloudy yellowish amber with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, spacious pool, and nice lacing. Nose of light grains, light caramel malts, and subtle hops, and a light touch of citrus. Flavors follow the nose with subtly sweet caramel and grains, followed by a subtle lemon peel and more grains on the background. Finish is subtly sweet with a herbal hop kick. Finish is moderately dry and subtly sweet. Decent session brew.
Cheers
