What I love most about North Country Brewing is the Gestalt effect. No one thing makes this place great. The atmosphere is unique and engagingly decorated. The beer is decent and the selections are broad. It's hard to pick a favorite, because it really comes down to personal preference. The food is tasty and run on the organic/all natural side. They really know how to do a good burger and fries. The service is fine, if a bit sporadic (only because they always seem to be so busy). However, taken as a whole, this place is an absolute gem. I love it. Whenever I am in the area, I make a point of stopping; and often make special trips to grab dinner and a beer at NCB. I cannot say that about a lot of places.

Located on the main street in Slippery Rock. Going for the hunting lodge look and feel. Sprawling interior on multiple levels, small patio out front. Food available. Service was friendly and quick. Beers were average at best.

Great pub right near the university in downtown Slippery Rock. The front door is a foreshadowing of the little bits of fun inside. The place has a good cozy feeling and the friendly staff are always helpful. The beer is good but not great. Old favorites like Paleo IPA and Buck Snort Stout are stand outs. They brew a good mix of styles so everyone will likely find something. The food is restaurant quality, best I’ve had at a brew pub. Enough said.

Awesome "woodsy" atmosphere. Reclaimed wood everywhere! 2nd time to visit. Really enjoy their bucksnort stout. Decent selection of beer. Food is really good. Eclectic, but not weird ;)

I'm a local from slippery rock and not some wannabe hipster college student. If you've never drank good beer before you might think some of their beers are good but compared to some of the bigger breweries out east like troegs and victory their beer may as well be coors and miller. The place is a wannabe hipster joint and the food is mediocre at best. If your an old person or some hipster this might be the place for you but if you like good beer STAY AWAY

Their brews are excellent! The food is delicious! And the atmosphere is very fun and interesting! Pretty much cut and dry as far as reviews go. All I can say is go check it out and you will not be disappointed!

This is a cool place. On the main street of Slippery Rock, it is easy to find. The atmosphere is neat. It has a country feel to it that is akin to the area. The food was really good. My wife and I each ordered a different sandwich for lunch and both were great. The soup I had was also righteous. There were about 15 beers on tap spanning the range of pilsener to stout and everything in between. I had a recently brewed winter warmer that was pretty good. I have only had one other (Buck Snort) which is also a good American Stout.
The tables are small and a little cramped. That is my only minor complaint. If you are passing through the area, you should make a point of a pop-in.

North Country Brewing. Made the 45 min trip to the brewery last weekend, the atmosphere is great, eclectic, and rather large inside. Food was outstanding we had the BBQ bacon buffalo burger, it was outstanding. The brew a bit disappointing seemed a little weak and watered- down for my taste.

Great establishment. Helpful and friendly staff. Quality food from [mostly] local ingredients with many options for omnivores and herbivores alike. The beer is great too, and all their own brews. Just don't get too attached to a specific one because they change what's on tap fairly regularly.
