I had been wanting to come here for quite sometime and when going down to house hunt in Greensboro,NC I figured it was the best time.Four miles off I-79 in Slipper Rock its easy to find and the town is quaint and friendly.Cool looking old building with some wood carvings on the door,as you walk in straight ahead is the bar with a bar seating area to the left and straight ahead and restaurant seating to the right the first time we went we sat up near the bar wich was a little smokey but was more of the action was. There is a chalkboard to the left as you walk towards the bar with the beer offerings of the day each time 13 brews were alaible that included one cask rainging from 2 Scottish ales to a black beer on cask.Friendly server but he was running around alot so we waited for our stuff a little, nice lunch menu with alot of different stuff good apps we had the squid on the first trip wich was was good the garlic did hit hard though,my elk burger was cooked the way I wanted it and my wife's fish sandwich was the best she ever had and she had has alot of them. The second trip we asked for non smoking so we were set all the way to the right in a small room with no one it felt a little odd but the service was decent the pub prestzels with the housemade spicy mustard was the shiznit my wife got the fish sandwich again and it was just as good I got the jerk pork sanwich was very good. The bathrooms are cool with cool stuff to read on the walls as well.Iam moving south soon but when coming up to Barfallo to visit the inlaws we will hit this place up everytime, this place lived up to the hype.
