Poured into a pint glass. Pours golden with a large white head. Plenty of bubbles can be seen streaming from the bottom of the glass. The head dissipates slowly, leaving some lacing on the side of the glass. The hop aroma is more of the citrus variety with some sweet and biscuit malt coming through in the nose as well. The taste follows the nose. The hops bring the citrus flavors ahead of the biscuit malt backbone. There is some hop bitterness on the back end. The body is light with abundant carbonation. The finish is dry. The drinkability is high. This is a very good and refreshing IPA.

Got this one on draft at a festival. Poured a clear medium orange gold, with a white, one finger high bubbly head. Dissipates fast, medium lacing.
Smell is of flowery hops and some caramel.
The taste was very nice! Fruity hop flavors up front. Bread and malt flavors in the middle, with a nice balanced finish. Nothing special, but truly above average.
A nice drinkable, medium bodied IPA.

Had one in the winter sample pack. Nice appearance with a clear copper look and some good lacing. Aromas were radically weak with little spice wrapped around the hops. Taste was very bland with just a simple bitter taste and lagging metallic aftertaste. Mouthfeel was an aid by giving it a dry carbonation but the flavors are not helped at all. Overall, a low quality IPA at least for me.

Bright, clear, golden-orange color with a thick fuzzy lid that leaves slippery lacing.

The aroma is hoppy. Floral and grassy earth with some citrus. The hops really flow together in a very balanced effort. Pale malt sweetness sits subtly in the background.

Light-medium body with a fairly crisp, smoth, and clean finish. The taste is lightly lemony sweet upfront with a crackery malt backbone. A touch of spicy and earthy hop bitterness finishes clean and smooth, without much linger.

Pretty good. Enjoyable and well balanced with a pleasant mouthfeel. I would definitely drink it again if it comes around.

On tap @ Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, MA.

Orangish color with an average head and a fair amount of carbonation. It smells very good, a little bit fruity. The taste is sharp and the hops are very present in this one. Can still detect some fruity tastes in there. Leaves your mouth a little bit dry, making it a little difficult to keep drinking. Not a bad beer overall.

Edit>>Since trying this beer for the first time about 4 months ago, I have grown a fondness for this beer and consider it - if not the best - one of my favorite IPA's. Available almost anywhere on-tap in the Boston area, I usually find myself drinking one of these at some point throughout the night. Excellent beer that I have most certainly grown to love.

Last of the 6-pack here. poured into a glass.

A light golden color, with about one finger of head.

Faint smell. some faint yeasty notes, coriander leaves, really a dry citrus smell,as if smelling an orange rind without the flesh.

mouthfeel is light, crisp, some citrusy hops, and light yeasty notes, but not more hoppy then your average pale ale, less then quite a few pale ales i can think of, much less then most IPAs.
Best by date still 2-1/2 months away so hops i'm sure haven't faded.

This isn't a bad tasting beer, and actually could be a really great beer for newer craft beer drinkers who are used to lighter beers. This beer is very easy drinking, and the hops wouldn't be overbearing after a few pints either, but i don't think i'd really care to have a few pints of it anyway.

I am blown away that I have never reviewed this beer. This is one of the beers that turned me on to high quality beers. Pours out a light orange-amber color with a small head that seems to last. The smell is exactly what I expect, floral hops.

The taste is sweet from the beginning with a medium mouthfeel. The hops are so well integrated in this beer. Pine notes and something sweet takes over. Aftertaste is well played and stays with you.

This is the beer that I fell in love with in Boston. It is the "old stand by", the one you call on. A perfect play for company or a lawn beer. Buy this beer and go to the brewery when you have the chance.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle into a nonic. "Best by 05/15/09."

A- Golden/light amber and clear. Too harsh of a pour unleashes a massive off white head. Retention is excellent, and head fades quite slowly to a moderately thin cap, leaving ample lacing as consumed. Borderline 5 in this department.

S-Solid floral/grapefruit hops, with minimal malt presence.

T- Quite a bit of hoppy bitterness, but flavors are fairly subdued. Moderate piney/citrus/herbal hops flavors, and a touch of malty sweetness.

M- Moderately high carbonation with a bit of a crisp bite, but still goes down quite smoothly.

D- Very good. Solid all around, and moderately low ABV. Should be a solid session beer.

Future outlook: A very pleasant, though mostly unspectacular IPA. Probably wouldn't ever be a first choice for an IPA given the heft of high quality options- but given the right price, would be fine for a warm day of heavy consumption.
