This beer was decent but nothing to die for. Certainly the weakest of the "UFO" series that I've had.
A: Very respectable pale ale appearance. Make sure you swirl the bottle halfway through pouring to get all the yeast and sediment off the bottom.
S: Lackluster smell with a very un-pale-ale-like lack of hops in the nose. There's a vague citrus smell.
T: The taste is all right. I would say this basically just tastes like an unfiltered Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Boring...sitting there...nothing offensive, but nothing truly exceptional. The citrus used is definitely lemon.
M: I really love the way unfiltered beers sit in the mouth and this beer certainly does have a very pleasing mouthfeel and that is its most redeeming quality.
D: Reasonably drinkable, I would bet that this beer would not only feel a lot better but taste a lot better on tap. Blue Moon, an unfiltered beer, is an example of beer that is excellent on tap and somewhat mediocre from the bottle, so if I saw this on tap I would not hesitate to order it because it's already very drinkable.
Overall, a nice attempt but not worth buying in 6-pack form.
