12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Best by 01/15/14, so about 2.5 months past its prime.
A: Pours a clear copper with an average off white head. Not very much visible carbonation in the body. Leaves spots of lacing on the glass as I drink.
S: Malt is a bit more pronounced in the aroma than your typical IPA, but that I would imagine is due in part to it being expired.
T: Flavors blend together nicely in this one, sure the hops have faded a bit but the rye spice flavor is coming out very nicely. Almost more like an amber ale at this stage.
M: Medium body with a mostly clean finish. Somewhat low carbonation and just a bit sticky.
Overall I'll have to revisit this one if I see it fresher. Always been a fan of beers that incorporate rye so I'm a bit partial.
