Boston Irish Stout is a traditional dry Irish stout. Full-bodied but sessionable with a creamy texture (derived from the nitro pour), it combines the roasted character of six malts with delicate Willamette hops.

On tap at the brewery into official pint glass. Pours nearly opaque reddish brown/black color with a 1-2 finger dense and creamy tan head with amazing retention, that lasts the whole glass. Thick nitro lacing down the glass. Aromas and flavors of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nuts, toast, dark bread, herbal, grass, pepper, light smoke/dark fruit. Moderate herbal/ char bitterness on the finish. Creamy/silky light to medium body. Drying sticky hops and chalky roast lingering after the finish. Very clean and nicely rich malts with balanced hops. Flavorful for the ABV. Loved it. One of the best Irish stouts I've had in a while. Outstanding for the style.

Enjoyed this at the Harpoon Beer Hall in the Seaport. Not a bad take on the style. Appears close to the same as Guinness or Murphy’s but the head was a little thin. Not sure if it was just the pour, because I’ve had it in the past and the heads been thicker. However that did not stop this beer from tasting delicious. Taste wise I think is more on par with Murphy’s. It boasts some more chocolate notes to it that Guinness. Also not as dry tasting as I’d picture, but all in all a solid stout that went down smooth.

On tap. Poured out an opaque, jet black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee and toffee. Nice roasted taste with milk chocolate sweetness.

Very dark, cream colored foam, very foamy feel in the mouth, heavily roasted taste, for me too much so!

This beer is NOT even remotely dry. Not bad but a bit thin and viscous when it shouldn't be. Victory's Donnybrook is a much better example and even lower in alcohol.
