Hull is a small town, area-wise, but it is long (11 miles) and narrow (less than a 1/4-mile wide at spots) The speed limit is 30 MPH, so to get from one end to other takes you at least 22 minutes. It will take you much more time in the summer months when the beach is full and the vacationers are in town.
At just about the half way point is A Street Liquors - across the street from the fire station.
The main reason to include A Street into the BeerFly Guide is its convenient location, once you happen to find yourself in the town of Hull.
The selection of craft beer is not large by any standards, but it is solid enough to save you a trip out of town. The larger New England contingent is well represented with SA, Harpoon, Tremont, Geary's, Shipyard, Smuttynose and Long Trail. DFH and Brooklyn, and Stone (IPA only), Sierra Nevada and Black Dog from the west and Fullers and Samuel Smith's are there, as are Bass, Boddington's and Guinness. Duval is the lone representative from Belgium now, though I have seen others on occasion.
The store is small and attractively laid out. There is a fairly good wine and liquor selection along with some interesting gourmet food and snack items.
The clerks and management are friendly and helpful.
The prices aren't discounted, but are fair enough, considering how much you will save by not having to drive a distance to the nearest mega-beer store.

Went yesterday for the first time, as I was visiting a friend in the area. Small, but very clean, & well organized. The craft beer section is solid, with prices clearly marked. Friendly staff.

Not much in the area, a few places have a decent selection but A Street seems to have the best. Sort of a no frills shop, service is fine and nearly all of the stock was within its freshness codes. If you are staying in the area this is going to be your place, pricing is on par to smaller shops in the greater Boston area.
