I don't go to World Market specifically to buy beer, but sometimes when I'm there picking up coffee or other random food items, I will swing by the beer section and grab something.
I've been to most of the World Markets in MI at this point, as I've lived all around the State, and this review applies about equally to all of them:
The quality of the beers is decent. Stuff that turns over regularly is always spot on, but they also will tend to have some stuff that is long out of season, and which clearly should not be available for sale.
In terms of service, the people who work there try to be helpful, but most of them know nothing or next to nothing about beer. I've met some enthusiastic employees there, but never any really knowledgeable folks.
Selection is about average. Some stores are better than others here, but most of them have a couple of shelves of six packs and one shelf of bottles, and that is the arrangement in Lansing as well.
The best part about the place is the price, they are always relatively inexpensive.
The bottom line: they aren't worth making a special trip for. But if you are heading there anyway, there's no reason to not buy a brew or two.

A decent place to stop by if you want some beers that aren't necessarily difficult to find, but are less expensive than other places. I typically stop in to put a mix-6 together.
A good selection of micros and crafts. You can make your own 6-pack or buy a full six pack. Many Bell's, Arcadia, Summit, New Holland, SNPA, Victory.
Employees will come around and make sure you're okay. Very friendly at checkout as well.
The beer selection is in the back left corner of the store.

easy to find in frandor
good prices, a fair selection of singles, and pretty much every single they sell they have full packs of - nothing usually really rare here but you can pick up some deals on more common stuff.
nice selection of michigan brews including founders, bells, new holland, arcadia, and perhaps more that slip my mind.
the sampler cardboard crate world beers and american micro 12 packs are great and are one of the ways i got into craft brews since they made it easy to try something new
i wish it were easier to find nice glassware, but world market actually has some good stuff - i've gotten a nice tulip glass that i use quite frequently, and a nonic pint among others from here for fair prices.
other than the beer, theres other cool foods and fun international items
worth looking at if you live in the area

A decent place to go for beer. An even better place if it's not just beer you're looking for.
There beer selection includes a fair amount of singles, with most of the more popular micros. You can find a lot of the Bell's varieties in singles and six packs as well.
The main appeal of the World Market, however, is the variety of other items you can find. Lots of unique foods and beverages from around the worl. It's nice to be able to hit one store if your looking for something new for dinner AND want a nice beer.

Well, after living in East Lansing for over 2 years and never going here, I figured it was time. I have to say it did not live up to my expectations, but it was a decent place none the less.
Reminded me of a Pier One when I first walked in. As I made my way to the back corner where the wine and beer was, I noticed they had their own season mixed packs. Seems to be a good idea for people that don't really know what they want or just want a decent combo. The selection was nothing to write home about, just some of your average Michigan Micros, but just some of the more popular ones. Bell's, some Founders, Sierra Nevada, Rogue, Chimay, Duvel, etc. The pricing was about on target for the average prices in these parts. Multiple employees walked by me as I was browsing and no one asked if I needed help finding anything, but I didn't mind. Nothing there really caught my eye, but if there was something I needed I wouldn't hesitate stopping here.

Nice selection, although pales in comparison to the nearby wine selection. They fit alot of singles into a small space, many MI brews, and many rare imports, such as Samichlaus. Alot of Unibroue, which is commendable. In the Lansing area, the selection is good, but the prices are extremely low, which is nice, when you know what you want. Also, they have a beer of the month, which allows you to try a new six pack at a discounted price. The other neat thing they do is pre-made ten packs of "themed beer" i.e., summer brews, American craft brews, beers of the world, etc. You can't choose what you want specifically, but at around $12, it's a good way to try ten beers. The winter pack is a special value, especially when on sale. I got two, which was about 15 different beers for twenty dollars and they were mostly porters and stouts.
The help is pretty clueless, but friendly.
