12 oz can. Pours hazy golden yellow with a medium frothy white head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is fresh chile peppers (Anaheim?).

The flavor is some sweet malts with chile flavor. It's got a little heat but is pretty mild. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, a solid mild chile beer. Good flavor, but not a lot of heat.

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, gold, high carbonation, clear

Smell: small amount of pepper, and grass/wheat

Taste: grassy wheat start followed by a big pepper bite that goes to a mix of malt and pepper

Mouthfeel: medium high carbonation, moderately smooth, sweetish start followed by a peppery body

Drinkability: A very good pepper beer that is probably in my top five for the style. the bite is good and is not overpowering. The beer taste is there. I have sessioned this before at the bar.

A - Small head and pretty light color almost yellow.

S - The smell of peppers in a beer is so odd but makes you want to keep sniffing

T - Peppers dominate the taste but not spicy peppers, more like a green or red pepper. almost refreshing.

Pretty good beer for how different it is.

This beer had a nice orange murky color with a decent head and retnetion.

Taste and smell are simple: pepperjack. Nice and spicy, leaves a little spice on the throat.

There is moderate carbonation and decent clinging to the palate.

This beer is not bad and I could have a few of these. I love chili beers. There is not a lot going on here, but it is pretty drinkable.

We tried this in a sampler size at the bar. It smelled very nice and capsaicin-y, so I was expected to be downing lots of water for the heat I was sure to follow. Instead it just tasted like vegetables, no heat, no spice, a major letdown.

Aside from the lack of chili-power, the beer had little other flavor, it did have a noticeable malt-nuttiness, but hops were mild and it was a really light beer. Don't bother daring anyone to try this unless they're intimidated by extra mild salsa.

First had: on tap at their brewpub

Poured a clear brassy color with a small white head. Smell was not too strong, but had faint aromas of grains and chili peppers. Taste... This...beer...tasted...like....TACOS. I expected a little bit of a spicy twinge like with most other chili beers I've had, but this wasn't really spicy at all. Just TASTED LIKE TACOS. Really amazing actually. An easy, pale malt base, but when settled on the palate, I could taste the corn of the tortillas, vegetables, and chili peppers, sans the burn. I don't mind the burn, but this was definitely a nice change of pace. Light-medium body and very smooth, this was an extremely drinkable beer, and went great with the food.

4.4%. Served on-draught into a 5 oz taster glass at Wynkoop. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours no real head at all - just a beige floater. Body colour is a clear copper-amber. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.

Sm: Light chili peppers. Clean barley. Little heat. Seems harmless. A mild strength aroma.

T: Some chili notes. No heat or spice. The foundation is comprised of just simple clean barley. Simple and somewhat bland, but pleasant to drink. No complexity or subtlety here. Kind of boring. No yeast character or alcohol comes through.

Mf: Smooth and wet. Adequately carbonated. Suits the flavour profile fairly well. Too smooth and wet.

Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable. I might have it again if I'm in the mood for a chili beer. A decent little brew from Wynkoop, albeit a mild one for the style.
