Had on draft yesterday at the brewery and the beer was served in a tulip.
Appearance: A one finger head that has reduced to a thin layer and left some nice lacing. A nice mahogany crimson red color with tiny little bubbles coming up the side of the glass.
Smell: Super malty deliciousness. Bananas, raisins, dark fruits and some alcohol on the nose too.
Taste: Same as above, but alcohol is more noticeable in the sip. As the beer warmed up, I could taste some mocha and coffee.
Mouthfeel: silky smooth, full bodied, low carbonation, and easy to drink.
Overall: A good beer for the colder months. There were flurries outside as I was enjoying this beer.

Poured a clear dark reddish-brown color, with a minimal amount of light tan foam on top. Aromas of dark fruits (raisins, stewed prunes), caramel and dark brown sugar. On the palate, this one was medium to full bodied, with more dark fruits, brown sugar, caramel and alcohol.

pours a clear radiant mahogany color with an average lacey off white head. smells sweet and malty, not much hops happening in the nose. flavor is really boozed out, with a sturdy engligh malt backing and more residual sweetness than i really care for. feel is too thin for the style, just not enough body to hold up the alcohol here. moderate carbonation. its not a bad barleywine, but there is plenty of room for improvement here. more hops to round out the flavor and more body to support the high abv would make this a much more formidable barleywine in my opinion.
