pours cloudy and thick looking, really a lot of sediment in there, but a nice white head that has pretty good retention. smells perfumy, flowery, and possibly artificially flavored, although i dont think it is. is something a bee would like to pollenate, but not something i think i really want to drink. the flavor is not quite so pungent, but its still like a perfume. the wheat malt is almost totally lost to that, and the peach nectar notes are faint at best. feel is far too think and weighty for a wheat beer, but its still fairly drinkable in terms of feel. overall i hope they tweak this one for next summer, it could stand to be lightened up a bit, and the peach flavor isnt like any real peach ive ever eaten. who knows.

Served on-draught into a pilsner glass at Wynkoop. Paired with queso and crisps. Reviewed from notes.

A: Pours a half finger head of soft slight cream, nice thickness, and average retention. Colour is a hazy orange-yellow. Nontransparent. Somewhat translucent. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. An inviting appearance for a hefeweizen.

Sm: Delightful real peach - very fresh and inviting. Wheat underlies. Fruity yet full and developed. A fantastic aroma.

T: Fresh peach with a subtle wheat foundation, banana and clove hints, and clean barley and malts to round out the body. Nicely balanced, if simple. Very refreshing and enjoyable. The peach is real and evocative rather than artificial or syrupy. Well built. Could use more complexity and subtlety, but it's a by-the-numbers hefeweizen.

Mf: Slight cream, excellent wetness, and good smoothness. Near perfectly carbonated. Suits the flavours very well.

Dr: Very drinkable. Quite quenching and flavorful. A fantastic summer brew. I'd definitely have this again. It's one of the better Wynkoop offerings I've tried.
