This review is for the Three Hundred Year Old Ale which I believe is different from the Battle of Britain Ale. On cask, the Three Hundred is seasonal. It can be purchased at the brewery in various volumes; I bought two pints and consumed it over the ensuing 48 hours. Colour is quite dark rich chestnut with a glint of red in the light. Aroma is rich and malty. On the palate it has excellent body and complexity; it makes an impact. Beautifully smooth and highly drinkable in the cask format. Complex mixture of malt and caramel components, a touch of bitterness and aromatic hop. Highly recommended.
