Pours a cloudy orange with a dense white head that leaves lots of lacing.
Lots of fruitiness in the aroma. Pineapple, mango, citrus. Some notes of candied fruit and a bit of a vegetal smell.
Taste runs bitter-sweet-bitter. Piney and resinous up front with notes of sweet orange juice and pineapple in the middle and a long pithy and piney finish.
Mouthfeel is about medium and a bit sticky.
All in all, pretty tasty.

I am drinking this at 4 months old in an ale glass.
L: This pours hazy gold with yeast chunks floating around like a snow globe. It has a 3” clingy cream colored foam cap that slowly recedes.
S: Grass and honey on the nose with traces of citrus.
T: Big honey malt flavors with light fruit with an assertive hop finish.
F: Medium body and carbonation, creamy, leaves a little honey stickiness on the lips.
O: Decent beer but the chunks are a little disconcerting.

A fairly subdued hop aroma for style. A smooth both hop, but also creamy malt character. The hops move more towards grass and seem old school Am. hops. Not a bad aroma.
Nice creamy dense white head. Cloudy golden amber color.
Much fuller flavor than aroma. A really enjoyable bitterness that grows ever so slowly to a powerful overtaking of experience. A nice sweetness up front that seems both malt and hop driven with hint of fruit. The hop flavors are more interesting than the aroma and much more complex too holding the grass, but also fruit, pine and a little spice.
Body isn't quite as sticky as I like but it certainly moves past the IPA line to DIPA and holds the creamy smoothness appropriate for style and the lower carbonation level too.
This is a nice little gift from my business partner and greatly appreciated.
Thanks Drevis.

12oz bottle dated first week of September 2014. Poured into an O'so snifter 9/30/2014.

A- Hazy copper-yellow body. Very impressive thick two finger white head that continues to replenish itself from within to make for an incredibly long retention time. Lots of thick lacing left as time goes on. [4]

S- Pine resin, hop oils, crackers, grainy pale malt sweetness. Honey sweetness. Nothing too complicated. [3.5]

F- Syrupy honey sweetness hits the palate first, followed by grainy malt, caramel, toffee sweetness, finished off by a thick, resinous and dank pine bitterness. This is pretty solid, reminds me more of an East Coast-style IPA rather than the more prevalent West Coast-style IPA. [3.75]

M- Medium bodied, a bit on the thick, syrupy side. Quite bitter with a resinous, slightly pine-accented finish. Actually quite effervescent and peppy on the tongue. [3.5]

O- I didn't like Bubblejack that much, so I was hesitant to try this, but hey, I had to fill out the last slot in my mixed 6-pack. And you know what? This is a pretty solid Imperial India Pale Ale with plenty of grainy pale malt sweetness tempered by a nice pine resin bitterness. [3.75]
