On tap @ Juniors and Bo's n' Mine in River Falls
A - A steady pour releases a dark orange, almost light brown body. A nice one finger head rises to the top of the glass and fades to a nice lace with a strong ring minutes after being poured. Lots of carbonation is visibly racing to the top.
S - No surprise with Rush River, plenty of hops and floral notes hit the nose initially. A deeper whiff brings about slightly roasted malts and sweet caramel notes. Truly a unique smelling red ale, but something that doesn't necessarily surprise me. Overall, great smelling red ale.
T - Much like the smell. Plenty of hops and floral notes stand out. Light bread notes and a good malt backbone provide for some balance while the sweet caramel notes keep things interesting.
M - Medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Entering the mouth there is plenty of hops and floral notes, but nothing overbearing. Carbonation cleanses the palate somewhat before the malts and caramel notes show up. Finish is somewhat piney and bitter, but nothing terrible.
D - I've become used to the guys at RR hopping their beers up so this one is no surprise. Aside from the Double Bubble, this is my favorite offering of theirs so it's nice to see this one so frequently available. It's definitely a beer I plan to seek out again when in the bars.

Smell is a bit understated, but has a pleasant caramel sweetness to it...some toastiness...whiff of hops.
Pours a light red color in the pint glass....head minimal but present. Looks appropriate.
Taste is a very pleasant one. A good caramel sweetness comes first, with a great note of biscuit pairing with it. Tasty. Hops are present on the present in an herbal way....just enough to wrap the swallow up right without lingering.
All in all, an outstanding amber ale. Happy to have had it.

Had in bottle form in St. Joseph, MN at Bello Cucina
A: cloudy, good creamy head; dark orange color
S: pleasant orange-infused hop aroma; opens up to slight bubblegum
T: sweet, well-balanced pale ale; very nice balance between hops, malt, and alcohol; the straw flavor complemented by some nice finishing hops
A solid amber ale.
