I've visited the Falling Rock a couple of times, and overall, I enjoyed my experiences. I think there is a lot of hype surrounding this spot, though if I were local I would certainly hit it regularly to check out the solid beer selection. Most recently I had Great Divide's IPA on cask and La Folie (!), and wished I had more time to sample a couple others. The food has never impressed as it is slightly overpriced run of the mill barfood. Service was spotty, but with such a laid-back atmosphere, I wasn't hung up on it. If I return, I think I'll just sit at the bar.

Indeed, the beer selection here is incredible. Quite a variety of beers from all corners of the United States. I get the impression that beers move in and out of here pretty quickly, as a few beers I requested were no longer available despite being on the board and/or menu.
The bartender was happy to offer me samples and patient enough to let me make my mind up. He made a few suggestions that weren't that useful, but that's cool.
I'll just once again emphasize how great the beer selection is. Craft beer galore. The prices are about what you'd expect for Denver, which is to say $6 a pour and up, so the drinking won't come cheap.
I'd suggest visiting early afternoon on a weekday, the place will be pretty wide open and you'll probably get better service.

the atmosphere and beer selection are impressive, food menu not so much. Come here when the Rockies are on a roadtrip, or in the offseason. We got seats at the bar, and I ended up sitting next to a fellow Virginia Tech alum, a Denver resident but originally from VA Beach, and it was fun to have the annual Do I or Dont I watch the Hokies football conversation.
