I heard about Falling Rocks from a blogger out of Fredericksburg, VA, who visited the last time he was in Denver.

What a great place to stop and get a pint with a sandwich after arriving in town. With a location that's close to seemingly everything, tons of beer, AND food, why wouldn't I try it out.

With well over 60 beers on tap there is bound to be something that will whet your appetite (Belgians, DIPAs, classics, and even NASCAR beer). Food is good, well-priced, and served graciously if you come at lunchtime (not crowded). There are plenty of items covering the walls to provide conversation fodder, and the locals/regulars are very friendly.

Definitely will revisit on return trips.

Indeed, the beer selection here is incredible. Quite a variety of beers from all corners of the United States. I get the impression that beers move in and out of here pretty quickly, as a few beers I requested were no longer available despite being on the board and/or menu.

The bartender was happy to offer me samples and patient enough to let me make my mind up. He made a few suggestions that weren't that useful, but that's cool.

I'll just once again emphasize how great the beer selection is. Craft beer galore. The prices are about what you'd expect for Denver, which is to say $6 a pour and up, so the drinking won't come cheap.

I'd suggest visiting early afternoon on a weekday, the place will be pretty wide open and you'll probably get better service.

the atmosphere and beer selection are impressive, food menu not so much. Come here when the Rockies are on a roadtrip, or in the offseason. We got seats at the bar, and I ended up sitting next to a fellow Virginia Tech alum, a Denver resident but originally from VA Beach, and it was fun to have the annual Do I or Dont I watch the Hokies football conversation.
