A definite favorite of mine since the late 90s. I live in NM but this was the place to go in Denver when there really weren’t too many other choices (and even when there were other choices). Fantastic selection and tie in to GABF, along with the beer celebrities who would show up, such as Don Younger. At the bar was a good mix of locals and out-of-towners.

Done in by too many breweries with their own beer bars and influx of pricey high rise residents downtown. But a great run for 24 years. Thanks to Chris Black and staff.

Just wanted to pay my respects to a great establishment I visited in July of 2018 before a Rockies Game. Couldn't believe I could get Pliny on tap in Colorado. A great place and so sad to hear that it's closing for good.

Cool little hole-in-the-wall spot a block from Coor Field downtown. Entrance is through the patio to long straight bar along the right wall that seats about 10 and has open service area in the middle. 3 rows of booths inside and a dozen or so wrought iron tables on the patio. 20 plus exceptional beers on tap (It is Denver beer week and the GABF), I had the Moonraker Citra Mango, it was very nice. I did not try the food... place was packed before noon for Boulevard/ Ommegang tap take-over... wish I didn't have to drive.

A small, tucked-away place with an insane tap list. A medium-sized bar with some tables and walls lined with tons of different bottles and tap handles. The service is good, the food solid and the beer selection outstanding. Very nice. Must visit. Nothing more to say on this one.

Stopped for dinner on first night in town for GABF 2018. What can I say that hasn’t been said already.

Great selection of local brews and options from other corners of the country. Even knocked a couple off rare beers off the bucket list. Burger and fired mushrooms were good to boot.

If you’re an out-of-tower like myself don’t leave without giving this place a visit.

After a tour of Coors Field, my friends and I took a short walk (<5 mins) to Falling Rock Tap House around 3:30pm on a Friday. A few people were seated at the bar area inside, but the weather was perfect so we grabbed a couple of tables out on the patio. Great taplist with an excellent representation of Colorado beers. I started off with a couple of Lagers, Bierstadt Slow Pour Pils and Tivoli Helles, before moving on to an Elevation 8 Second Kölsch. The Pils was the standout of the group and came in a tall, slim Bierstadt-branded glass. Good service, laid back vibe, and quality brews. Easy to see why this place has been a staple of the craft beer scene for such a long time.

Cool vibe for people that dont need their hand held. Pretty no-nonsense type of place. Stopped here for lunch on our way in to Denver. Started with Pliny the Elder and Blind Pig taps....wife is just getting into hoppy beers so Pliny killed her, lol!!! Apparently, we were a week or 2 early for Pliny the Younger on tap. YES, Pliny, the YOUNGER. O

Ordered fried mushrooms to start, they were the bomb. Ordered more IPA off the menu for my wife, and I started digging into their b-wines. They had 20 on tap for Drain Bamage month....EXCELLENT, as BiL!

Ordered lunch, a burger for me (server didnt ask me how I wanted it cooked....always a negative to me) and a veggie burger for my wife (always a positive in my book, happy wife happy life). Both burgers were decent, nothing super memorable though.

Overall, 75ish beers on tap so if you like beer and dont need to be catered to...stop here. Especially if going to a Rockies game.

Cheers!

Love the beer selection there, usually have really good beers there, as well has some hard to find beers, they usually have Pliny on tap, or at least something from Russian River. Service isn't the best and the food is mediocre at best, basic bar food. The main reason to go is for the beer, they have a great list of taps, and bottles/cans.

Pros: had Pliny the elder on tap outside of California. That was a nice surprise.
Cons: had Pliny the younger on tap last weekend and next weekend but I'm missing both because I'm only here for 2 days

OK, I'll admit, I went here expecting to hate this place. But, surprise, I ended up having a good time here during my Denver beer tour.

Place is smaller than I expected, but was able to snag a seat at the long bar. Service was great, the bartender was friendly enough and really hustled to service the crowd - able to answer a quick question or two and crack a smile as well (a rarity in beer geek bars nowadays). Of course, the selection is pretty impressive.

Yes, there are lot of insufferable beer geeks here, but I managed to avoid beer discussions with them.

Enjoyed a RR Blind Pig and a local IPA that was quite tasty. Had a cup of green chili that was surprisingly good too.

Finally - a beer bar that lives up to the hype.

I was a little disappointed after reading all the reviews. It's a cool beer bar for sure, nice patio as well. The service wasn't good at all. Their "cellar" list hasn't been updated since 9/15. Still a cool place to stop in Denver but nothing mind blowing b
