Thanks to xerxexrex for sharing this bottle with me.
Pops off and flows all over, keep a glass close by. Nice clean golden color after a good decantation. Great big rocky head that sticks to glass well and leaves a thin layer of head behind. Smell is sour and tart, about like a gueuze. Slightly sweet fruity tartness keeps reminding me of Gueuzes and tastes great. The mouthfeel is less dry than the Bam Biere we just had, and there's still some acidic carbonation. Overall I thought it was very enjoyable.

Appearance: Golden yellow, with a touch of haze and very little head.
Aroma: Grainy aroma with a bit of lemon and spice.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Slightly sour lemon flavor initially, with a bit of peppery heat following. Finishes with cereal grains and uncooked pasta flavors, and has a bit of buttery character as well. Some yeasty funk throughout.
Final Word: An interesting drink, but not one that I must have again. My favorite part of the brew was the peppery character, which kept the profile lively and interesting, as the other characteristics, like the tart lemon and yeast, didn’t present anything out of the ordinary. Certainly good, and always worth trying, but I would seek out other Jolly Pumpkin brews first if you are having trouble choosing.
