A - Bright yellow with a gigantic fluffy white head. Not quite a gusher but it did start to foam out of the bottle before I started pouring. Well I take that back. After turning around I noticed that it is still foaming all over the coffee table.
S - Nice belgian funky with some tartness. Just a bit peppery.
T - Pretty funky. Not sour at all. That is disappointing. Spicy and peppery.
M - Nice and tingly.
D - It would be much more drinkable if the flavor was there.
This beer is just not my thing.

Appearance: Golden yellow, with a touch of haze and very little head.
Aroma: Grainy aroma with a bit of lemon and spice.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Slightly sour lemon flavor initially, with a bit of peppery heat following. Finishes with cereal grains and uncooked pasta flavors, and has a bit of buttery character as well. Some yeasty funk throughout.
Final Word: An interesting drink, but not one that I must have again. My favorite part of the brew was the peppery character, which kept the profile lively and interesting, as the other characteristics, like the tart lemon and yeast, didn’t present anything out of the ordinary. Certainly good, and always worth trying, but I would seek out other Jolly Pumpkin brews first if you are having trouble choosing.
