This beer is an interesting color (or my eyes need some help). It pours a unique lightly hazed green tinged yellow with light champagne like carbonation bubbles that drift to brace the large frothy head.
I get a light sour funk mixed with a green apple tartness as I take a whiff.
Taste is incredible. It hits with a lighter green apple acidity with segues into a sweet ripe red fuji/gala apple with ripe strawberry sweetness. The acid and hop bitterness keep the sweetness well balanced.
Mouthfeel is not particularly creamy, but rather slick and not overly carbonated.
Drinkability is great, but one 750ml at time is enough.

Appearance: Golden yellow, with a touch of haze and very little head.
Aroma: Grainy aroma with a bit of lemon and spice.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Slightly sour lemon flavor initially, with a bit of peppery heat following. Finishes with cereal grains and uncooked pasta flavors, and has a bit of buttery character as well. Some yeasty funk throughout.
Final Word: An interesting drink, but not one that I must have again. My favorite part of the brew was the peppery character, which kept the profile lively and interesting, as the other characteristics, like the tart lemon and yeast, didn’t present anything out of the ordinary. Certainly good, and always worth trying, but I would seek out other Jolly Pumpkin brews first if you are having trouble choosing.
