This one pours out to a dark gold to almost orange in the glass with a huge head. The aroma is of fruit, with plums coming to the forefront. There is also a hint of spice, clove maybe? on the nose as well. The taste is excellent. This is a Belgian ale brewed not in Belgium, but in Dexter, Michigan. I still cannot believe beers this complex are brewed so close to home for me. Anyway, back to the taste. There is the unmistakeable Belgian ale taste profile that includes a wonderful dose of spices that mix with the taste of freshly baked bread. The finish begs for another drink, not a sip mind you, but a drink. The ABV is under 7%, which makes this very drinkable, yet still somewhat warming.

Pours a clear, gold color. 2/3 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sourness, slight sweet malt, hint of hop, slight alcohol, yeast, and slight citrus. Fits the style of a Belgian Pale Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is a strong dryness associated with this brew. Tastes of strong sourness, hint of hop, alcohol, sweet malt, and yeast. Good appearance, aroma, blend, and body.
