Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a tulip glass.
Huge, creamy head. Off-white color that lasted a long time. Good lacing around the glass.
Beer was ruby color and lightly cloudy with particulates.
Aroma was all Belgian. Sour, tart, mild funk with apple, pear and other fruits present. Nothing overwhelming. Aroma was mild and I spent quite some time trying to identify all of the different aromas present.
Lively carbonation with a heavy yeast, earthy flavor. Also, had a light fruit/tart flavor. This beer went down very easy. Drinkability is very high. In my opinion, this is one of the better Belgian style beers being made by a U.S. brewery.

750 ml bottle poured into a Russian River stemmed glass
Blend 1, Bittled 2.27.2013
A: A beautiful clear copper color with a slight white film of a head with no lacing or head retention. No cloudiness and many rising bubbles from the base of the glass.
S: Huge dark fruit nose with a delicious lactic sourness character on the nose. Oak mixed with Brett funk makes for an extremely complex and delicious smelling brew. Aroma is also almost wine or grape like. Wow, can't wait to try this baby.
T: great balance of tartness and fruit character along with a medium carbonation that makes for a very interesting beer. A very nice Brett character that works perfectly with the oak character. The two flavors of Brett and oak work graceously in this beer, amazing.
M: The beer is a little thin and medium to high carbonation makes a decent attempt at trying to add some body but still thin. However, this is a very interesting and delusions brew. The light tartness helps tremendously in adding mouthfeel.
O: I waited long to try this brew since it was too rich for my blood, but finally pulled the trigger when some spare cash came along and all I can say is it was worth every penny.
It's a very complex brew with a gentle friendly tartness with great fruit/dark frui character. It's a very drinkable beer but I would never dare to chug as it is des served to be sipped and savored. Great brew and reminds me why Ron Jefferies is the Man!
