Batch 506/507 - bought and consumed in MI while here for work.
A - I poured EXTREMELY slowly based on past experience with beers like this, and the result was a moderate head on a cloudy pale-yellow body.
S - This smells amazing. Funky, tart, dry. Lots of lemon but with plenty of that bretty must hanging around.
T&M - I figured this would be close to Boulevard Saison-Brett based on the description and nose, but this is completely different. Where that to me seemed like a saison with a brett character, this seems like a wild yeast beer with a saison character. It is very dry and highly carbonated - there is a bit of grassy light malt body, but little bitterness - instead just the prevailing tartness. The finish is where the sourness comes out the most, but it is never puckering - merely the dominant characteristic of the beer.
D - A little more body or less sourness would have resulted in a more balanced beer, but this still works very well. It seems like something that could be sipped on slowly for hours and enjoyed thoroughly.
