This is my third beer from Jolly Pumpkin. The Rojo was fantastic, the Blanche not so much. This was kind of a tie-breaker. The verdict... good brewery!
Pours out a nice straw color with a head of very loose, large bubbles that dissipate quickly and do not return, with carbonation ceasing at the end of the pour.
Nice notes of some some funky yeast and hay in the nose.
Excellent flavor profile: sharp, somewhat funky, moderately sour, a slight smooth bitterness. Very dry. Slightly biscuity aftertaste, nice, moderate toasty background.
A very crisp beverage, very refreshing and a great beer for a warm day that is dry enough to want another but not enough to tire the palate. Very well done!
