Pitch black and opaque. Smell is very acidic and sour. Flavors are sour and acidic with a finish of oak, molasses, and licorice. Excellent drinkability. This has more in common with a sour ale than the typical imperial stout, but is a very tasty and interesting hybrid.

Sample on tap at Max's (3/11/14)
A: Pitch black with good lacing.
S: Sour, tart and funk with a lot of cherries.
T: Tart. Sour. Nice taste of cherries. This is only vaguely a stout at all.
M: Smooth with only a tingling of carbonation.
O: This is a good beer, but it is quite pricey given what it is.
