Glad to see more JP on AK shelves.
Pours a cloudy brown ruby haze with a nice off white head that retains pretty well and leaves good lacing.
Nose is similar to bam, funky, tart, but with a little more sweetness.
Wow. Actually a bit more tart than i expected even. Funk, not sweet in a flemish way, but in a more sort of tabaccoey way, but pretty slight. Finish is nice and dry.
Mouthfeel is just about right for carbonation as well as viscosity.
Drinkability is good, but there is a little bit too much going on without a good melding here. Kind of messy.
Overall, a tasty brew, but needs a little rounding out i'd say. All the seperate parts are good, but they don't mix as well as they could. Hard to pinpoint what im trying to say, so i'll just shutup now. A good beer.
