Thanks to egajdzis for hooking me up with this one...
Appears a dark crimson with a hearty, off-white head that fades into a mild cap. Scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is unusual with notes of cocoa, pumelo citrus, zesty spices, yeasty dough, and light caramel.
Taste is of the mentioned aromas with notes of apple, and apricot layered on top of the cocoa, citrus, and plum.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, tart, dry, light cocoa, vanilla, oak, and citrus.

1 pt. 9.4 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar , Stavanger. ABV not mentioned on the label. Chestnut coloured beer, big off-white head. Moderate aroma of Belgian ale yeast, hints of brown bread and spices. Fairly light bodied, easy drinking and refreshing. The flavour has some citric acidity, moderate malts, fairly dry, very moderate hops. Okay, but not exceptional.

It's not black coffee brown like most porters and stouts. But it is darker brown than a cola soda. There's an abundant frothy head that conveys only a hint of the brew's color. Now that the entire contents of a pint can have been temporarily relocated into a clear glass liter mug, the nose becomes interested. It smells sour, almost vinegary sour. Probably it's the oak tannins taking command of the aroma. The label's suggestion that there are notes of sweet plum, coffee and cocoa seems to be stretching. Alright, maybe a little plum, but not in a sweet manner. As for the taste, firstly, it is sour. The tannins don't make it taste like a boilermaker, they just augment the sourness. Now the notes of black coffee can be detected, but still in the background. A little confusion occurs, as this isn't close to being as smooth as most brewed things that this dark are. It's light across the tongue and its sourness and tannins certainly don't contribute to smoothing things out. The closest taste comparison may be to a sour stout, but most of them are far more complex in taste, usually with an added layer of roasted malt that offers a good foil to their sourness. That's just not here. An interesting try, for sure, but not the best sour drinking experience you'll ever have. There's not much lacing left inside the glass, but it really doesn't matter.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a nice dark reddish brown with slightly off-white head. Tiny bubbles rising throughout. Nose is sour patch kids, plums, rhubarb, marmalade, and a nice bread note. The taste is great. Slight dank flavor, plums, raisins, grass, leather, barnyard funk, lemon, and wood. There is definitely more funk on the taste than on the nose. Really nice beer overall with a fairly light and dry mouthfeel.

4.5% (vs 4.3% in Description^). The lable is also evolved, it now has less blue... it's mostly black, white and grey...
L- Pours a mid chestnut brown, almost clear with very brief patch of bubbles. If the glass - my regular - weren't nucleated I expect the bubble-cap might not have formed at all.
S- Interesting smell and not what I was expecting! I see it described as a saison in the headers and to me that means dry and tending sour-wards. However here I get almost a cider/apple smell.
T- Ooph! That said it is dry, very dry for me. Alas that also seems to go with it being a bit mono-dimensional; the dryness doesn't leave scope for other aspects to get a look in.
F- Notably dry, no compensating richness/feel. All a bit austere; well certainly if Saison/sour and similar isn't really your style.
O- If I was blind-folded and also blind-tasted this and it was suggested it was an ale or a cider I think I'd go for cider, albeit a notably dry one. I don't get anything ale-like here, though taking the blind-fold off the colour might make me pause for thought. All thaat said I've had dryer saisons, and sours etc and if that end of styles suits you then likely won't seem to hard-core. Interesting to try but not really my thing.

Bottle 2/17 2016 where's a dark copper brown almost pitch with a surprising quarter inch of foam despite this beer almost being four years old. Smells of mild chocolate roast tart vinegar and some mild Cherry notes. Taste is about the same vinegar notes are very balanced and it has a almost cherry-like finish but it does still have the chocolate and roast which makes it quite unusual. Body is quite light easy to crush overall for 2.50 it really wasn't that bad to try

De Tercertiempocervezas. En copa Teku. Jugando a Roblox con los niños (Virus Story) Perfil eminentemente funky en el que se echan en falta notas adicionales que le den interés, especialmente las notas oscuras y a roble anunciadas en su etiqueta

Pours reddish brown amber mahogany with a tan khaki brown foam head that slowly recedes. Smells roasty, fruity and tart with some chocolatey roasted malts, dark fruits, cocoa, vanilla, almost cherry like dried fruit, plum, slight funky farmhouse yeast, sweet spice, hay, straw, with some dusty earthy hops. Tastes a bit tart and acidic with roasty dark malts, dark chocolate, toasted bread, dark caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, dark fruit, apricot, hint of cherry or plum, cocoa, funky farmhouse yeast, mild banana, clove spice, apple, hay, straw, with dusty leafy earthy herbal hops. Feels medium bodied, smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall a nice dark farmhouse ale.

Served from 375 ml bottle in tulip glass. A thick tan had drops slowly with mild lacing. Color is cloudy copper-brown. Aroma dominated by vinegar with yeasty malt background. Mouthfeel is light to medium, extremely carbonated. Flavor is unpleasant vinegar and overwhelming tartness. Not picking up any typical farmhouse ale flavors with this. Overall: I hope the sample I had was off somehow, because I could not finish this beer. Just too sour and tasted like a glass of vinegar.

From notes 1/14/12: This brew is a dark cola brown with a huge, lasting, light tan head which leaves minor lacing on the sides of the glass. Aroma is tart, sour and yeasty. Taste is same but with a peppery start and notes of lemon and sour apple in the finish. Transient taste/rapid finish. Something is not "right" about this bottle. It may be that it is old or has been mishandled.
