La Parcela is a medium-dark brown color with an orange-red flair to it, more translucent than anything. A smallish off-white head, while not huge, almost makes it to a finger's height and sits creamy and tight. Strong patching is dropped as the beer recedes.
Overlying, foundational barnyard funk and mix of tartness and sourness set a base, yes, but it doesn't take away from all this beer has to offer beside. It's not heavily spiced though a gentle spicing is there, and the focus is on mingling sweet with funky and tart in such a way as to complement rather than clash. this the brewers accomplish, and there's a solid addition of pumpkin flesh that can be tasted and smelled the whole way. It may not be everyone's idea of a pumpkin beer, but it's well done nonetheless.
The body is on the light side of medium with a steady, medium level of carbonation. It's clean with a strong crispness that keeps biting, though it's got a good flow to it as well. It's pretty dry all the way through and into a finish with a gently lingering tartness.
