Into a tulip, pours a big, frothy head atop an orange body (cute). The head easily reemerges upon agitation and as I pour more in from the bottle; thick and pretty.
Aromas of brown sugar, pumpkin spice, and a wee bit of funky cheddar.
As usual, the sharp funk typical of JP, with plenty of pumpkin, spices, pumpkin spices, and some of that brown sugar found in the aroma. It takes some swishing to derive the full flavors but it’s good.
Mouthfeel is light yet substantial.
Overall, ranks among the top five JP brews I’ve had. Plenty of sweet and pumpkin ale flavors to classify as a pumpkin ale, with a smooth, balanced complexity between funk and pumpkin.
