Poured from 750ml bottle. Thanks go out to gratefulbeerhead for this bottle. You rock Eric!

A- Poured a nice amber color with light pink hues overall. Three finger white head shows great retentino. Huge rocky chunks of lace left on the sides of the glass.

S- Floral in the nose right off the bat. Rose petal and hibiscus really come off in the front with hints of cracked pepper. Light oak toward the middle with hints of vanilla. Ending of the aroma shows big green apple aroma with a ton of barnyard funk. Light alcohol which I expected more to be honest.

T- Green apples on the front of the beer with a floral flavor which reminds me of rose petals. Hints of black pepper on the final part of the front. Middle shows off some light funk along with oak and vanilla. Green apple comes out more with that typical Jolly Pumpkin funk to it. Alcohol shows some light funk as well on the ending.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation is lively and good for the style. Rose petals, light malt, and hints of funk left on the palate. Funky alcohol, hints of oak, and green apple are left long into the aftertaste. Flavors were actually well blended and felt no stop and jerk flavor profile. No off flavors were present although the green apple might have been a light off flavor. Medium heavy alcohol drying left on the palate.

O- This was a wonderful saison. Jolly Pumpkin makes a great tasting beer it seems at times without even trying. The ABV is a little on the light side which makes this beer easy drinking. Nice tasting beer for the summertime nights!

Poured from the bottle a hazy and dark reddish-gold color with two fingers of pink-tinted head. Light wet lacing left behind.

Aroma of tart berry and floral notes along with earthy funk, yeast, and brett.

The taste was tart with berry, rose hips, Belgian yeast, brett, earthy funk.

Medium bodied, crisp and dry with a moderate carbonation.

A very nice Saison from Jolly Pumpkin. I will definitely have this one again.

It's a gusher! Hazy amber brown body topped by a huge meringue like head of white foam. The aroma is spectacularly floral with pepper, hibiscus, tropical fruit and farmhouse goodness. Sweet malt with more pepper and lots of the same floral notes that are in the aroma. Medium body, high carbonation, and a balanced finish. Really nice, this is a great saison and an excellent use of flowers in beer.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/10/2013. Massive gusher upon opening, but no lost beer. Took a while to pour it. Pours very hazy reddish orange color with a fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big green apple, pear, cherry, pineapple, lemon zest, rose petal, herbal, floral, grass, clove, light pepper, light caramel, bread, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, flower petal spice, and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of tart green apple, pear, lemon zest, cherry, bread, light caramel, rose petal, herbal, floral, grass, clove, pepper, musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Slight earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of apple, pear, lemon zest, cherry, bread, light caramel, rose petal, herbal, floral, musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, flower petal spice, and malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent spiced saison. All around great balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast, flower petal spice, and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.
