750ml bottle shared by schen9303. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Tiny white head with very little stick. Beer is a muddy, lifeless mahogany. Spotty and sparse lace with little stick. Not an attractive beer.
Nose is fruity, clean and fresh. Notes of kiwi, pineapple and Brett funk with a nice, underlying sweetness. Nice.
Opens light kiwi, pineapple, and other tropical fruit notes. Some spiciness towards the middle softened by a mellow Brett funk presence. A touch of tartness towards the end with some plastic and foam at the finish. Spicy and tart fruit forward aftertaste. I like it!
Beer is light bodied with moderate carbonation that seems concentrated all at the end. Slick and clean in the mouth and lively and bubbly going down. Slightly accented finish with a light, lingering aftertaste. Real enjoyable.
After seeing how this beer poured, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, upon smelling and tasting it, this is really solid. Light, crisp, and refreshing and just very well balanced all the way around. Definitely recommended.
