Yellow unfiltered color with mild to no carbonation and great head. Fruity, citrus, aroma. Smells good. Lots of citrus, fruity, hop flavor, similar to the aroma. Slightly bitter from the hops. According to Saranac, this beer don't apologize. Finishes the same, no real change.

Beautiful hazed apricot body with a bright white head billowing head over the sides of my glass, very nice looking brew this could be a beer commercial.

Aroma citrus peel, witbier character with the coriander additions galore muddled hop components noted in the backend with a wheat biscuit combo coming in the grains/oat additions.

Tastes like a more citrus peel forward witbier with bitter muddled spices, citrus peel bitterness knocking me out with bitterness, and hop pellets not much in the way of expressive tropical notes that I was expecting with the use of Citra a definite letdown in so many ways.

Mouthfeel is rough, each sip challenges your palate more and more it's a perfect storm of harsh, muddled, spice heavy, and generic hop pellet mash up medium bodied cloying all day carbonation carries on whether or not you want it to or not.

Overall, it's Saranac and who is wasting Citra hops on this witbier hybrid? That's the worse beer sin I've heard about in quite some time.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter. Best by 10/31/2014.

A: Pours a very cloudy peachish yellow with an ample dense white head on top. Too opaque to see any visible carbonation. Leaves some spots of lacing on the sides of the glass.

S: First thing I get is a faint hop aroma that slightly overpowers the wheat base. Orange comes through more as it warms up complimenting the hops.

T: Initially this beer goes down well with a orange like hop flavor. Then a second or two after there is an odd wheat or malty spice that comes through and gives an off taste. Good amount of orange peel and coriander.

M: Full body with low carbonation. A bit sticky on the backend from the hops but remains drinkable.

Overall this one just isnt for me. Perhaps I need the BBQ grill going to really let this one set in.

A- pours a cloudy and murky golden orange color with a small white foamy head, decent retention

S- a hint of grassy and citrus hops, crisp wheat, sugary malt

T- light orange juice mixed with toasted wheat with an off artificial sugar , hint of grass on a dry finish

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish

O- about as middle of the road as a wheat beer can be, very bland

LOOK: Pours a cloudy peach color with white head and some lacing. A bit of floating yeast bits, looks like an unfiltered, Belgian style ale.

SMELL: Lemony, yeasty, wheat and grapefruit with small tropical notes from the citra.

TASTE: Grapefruit and citrus, some wheat elements and a bit of earthy Belgian yeast character a la Witbier. Orange peel, wheat and a fair amount of bitterness.

Overall, this is a pretty good wit style beer with hop character and some spice.

Though firmly wheat based and fits aptly into the American Pale Wheat Ale style, or hoppy witbier, you may as well call this one a Belgian IPA, or perhaps White IPA. Enough categorizing, its pretty good beer.
