Bottle: bottling date code indicates this is fresh ( botttled in the last 2 weeks)
Poured a gracious shimmering gold into my pilsner flute: large puffy 2 finger cap that lasts and laces well. Moderate carbonation.
Great lager smells in the aroma: fresh rising bread dough with apple cidery undertones from some dry hopping...very bready and fresh.
Solid malt spine with a decent dollup of malted wheat, medium bodied, silky mouth feel, rounded smooth character...
A nice chew of fresh bready malts up front, this is quickly balanced by a swirl of citrusy-herbal hops (Cascade & Tettnang ) which give a malty-apple cidery decernment, finishes clean and lightly drying from some help from the wheat and dry hopped cascades with the non-cloying cider flavors still riding along.... then a solid biscuit after taste.
A quenching yet substantial lager with an interesting mix of malts and hops ( Wheat and cascade with carapils and tettnang) that simply works well in the flavor compliment. This brewer is gaining my respect as I have not had a beer from them I did not like and the quality is certainly apparent in the ingredients and process.
