Poured from the bottle into a pilsner glass.
Very nice looking beer. Straw golden body. Slightly hazy, with lots of visible carbonation. Aggressive pour produced a nice thick pure white head. Some lace.
Right out of the bottle it had a full sweet scent, but after sitting for approx a minute it was all but gone. Sweet wheat. I get a bit of the spices in the nose, but none of the citrus.
Very crisp, acidic flavor. Sharp wheat accented by spices. Not a bad flavor, but it is very much lacking in a lot of the elements that make this style great to me. As I've come to expect from Saranac it makes a lot of claims on the label, then doesn't deliver. I taste no citrus and no "ever-so-light" seasoning of hops.
