A: Pours a light amber color with a thin white head that leaves little lacing.
S: Smells of slight sweets and very little hops. I was definitly expecting more of a hoppy odor, especially for an IPA.
T: Flavor starts off with a slight sweet taste then moves towards a dull hoppy finish. Didnt deliver a strong hop flavor that I come to expect from IPAs. Also the sweetness at the beginning didnt really balance out the lack of hops.
M: Decent amount of chew to the beer considering its an IPA.
D: Very easy drinking beer. Not too much flavor though, so I wouldnt want to drink another.
Overall the beer was ok. Nothing really distinguishes this IPA above just an average IPA. Saranac definitly has better beers out there.

A strong coppery gold in the glass, good head retention with streams of carbonation up the glass, very clear. 3.75
S – crisp grapefruit upfront, floral notes in abundance, caramel biscuit malt, light and fruity, very summer-y. 3.25
T – a nice punch of cascade hops, lots of ruby grapefruit and pithy bitterness, dry florals and a dry body that lingers with robust citrus notes drying out on the finish. Some grassiness, the hops are good and the bitterness balanced by the maltiness, but I feel they fall a bit flat, fairly one dimensional in terms of the cascade/grapefruit profile. 3.5
M – moderate body, high carbonation, quite a sessionable fruity IPA. Good bitter pithy feel to it, with enough of a biscuit malt base to work. 3.5
A tasty, easy to enjoy American IPA, not too many bells and whistles, clean and dry which I like, but the hop profile doesn’t overly impress. Would be good for summer, malts are there but surpressed a bit and hops dont really shine. Clean but not very exciting.
