Poured into a grip shaped wide mouth goblet: color is copper, transparent, head is offwhite/very light tan, head presents 1/4 inch thick.
Smell is light caramel, toast, pumpkin pie spice with ginger, cinnamon, all spice, clove notes.
Taste is light caramel, toast, biscuit, with pumpkin pie spice notes of cinnamon, ginger, clove, all spice; spice notes are well balanced.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, moderate sweetness, low/moderate spiced bitterness.
Overall a pleasant pumpkin ale - cleaner, lighter malt base and balanced spice profile.

Drinking this at one of my favorite tap rooms, Tapped Craft and Drafts in Greenville NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks amber copper with a nice foamy off white head that dropped quickly to a thin ring.
Smells lightly bready, sweet, pumpkin.
Taste follows the nose nicely with the pumpkin upfront, but light, cinnamon and cloves.
Mouth feel is medium light for the style.
Overall a light and more refreshing version of a Pumpkin beer I was surprised to see in February 2022 on tap.
I might order again.
Cheers!

Look – Slightly hazy body and copper in color with three fingers of white head
Aroma – Hmmmm. Smells a little off, but what is there is mostly potpourri and flowers. If I dig deep enough I get the cinnamon, but nothing much else. Smells kinda dirty.
Taste – The taste yields a slightly better story as pumpkin arrives, but it is subtle. Similarly the cinnamon is light in presence and other spices seem to be absent. Then the aftertaste hits and it is more of those dirty vegetable notes I got on the nose. Just weird.
Mouthfeel – Pretty light in body with decent carbonation. If the flavors weren’t off it would have good drinkability.
Overall- The good flavors were faint, but quickly fleeting. The aftertaste had me wanting to stop drinking, but I powered through. In these cases you hope it is a bad batch story and not what this is supposed to taste like.

On tap in a 20 ounce mug.
See through copper amber color with a big cap, off white. Fat rings and soapy lacing.
Pumpkin spices, cinnamon, caramel apple, smoky sweet.
Pumpkin pie with a dry crust. Nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, brown sugar.
It’s light, mildly hoppy, a bit sweet.
Pumpkin beer is not a fav, but this wasn’t bad. Easy drinking.

October 15th, 2015 - Saranac's Pumpkin Ale offers the duel and dueling flavors of pumpkin beers across both the aroma and flavor. On the smell, this bronze brew is very sweet, and packed with pumpkin spice, and even a fresh coolness of whipped cream. It is the epitome of a sweet, grocery store made pumpkin pie. The flavor is sweet too, but expresses some more vegetal elements too. The unsweetened flavor profile doesn't last long though, crumpling in on itself and rebounding back to sweetness. But then again in the aftertaste the flavor profile changes gears back to a dry finish, crisp and spicy but not dripping with brown sugar and sweetened pie pulp like in the aroma.
