12 oz. bottle into a 12 oz. Samuel Smith nonic.
Appearance: Not opaque, as there's some light shining through. Nice frothy off-white, mocha-colored head, and good lacing.
Smell: Light vanilla and dark roasted malts. Not a lot of nuance, but it's not bad either.
Taste: A good roasted malt character, complimented by some vanilla flavor, which is nice; this is not sugary at all, and even if it's extract, it works well.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, with nice crisp, somehow, carbonation at the end.
Drinkability: For a more medium-bodied stout, this isn't too bad, and it's a good one for the 12 mix from Saranac this winter.
