A - Poured more of a dark brown than black. A finger, maybe finger and a half of head. Lace appears to cling fairly well.
S - Some roastiness, certainly some vanilla there. Smells more like extract than real vanilla bean.
T - First thing is the vanilla sweetness. The Roasted malts come in mid-palate. Finishes much more bitter than I would have guessed.
M - Decent. Definitely a bit lighter than I would have liked in this kind of beer.
D - Not bad. Enjoyed it, but I believe a better vanilla would have pushed this one higher.
