12oz bottle into a pint glass. No freshness dating.
Clear pale amber body, head shrinks to a ring. Sweet malty aroma, when tasted there is an odd creaminess to it.

Crystal clear and medium amber in color; moderate malty sweet on the nose, lightly toasted in nature, somewhat spicy hop notes…taste follows similarly with the toasted qualities more noticeable, little bit of hops on the finish; mildly grassy with a little pepperness. Light body, moderately dry, great creamy carbonation, a little bit of malt lingers on the finish, very low bitterness.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Sudsy white head recedes leaving plenty of lacing. Color is amber with moderate carbonation. Aroma nice balance of hop and malt notes. Mouthfeel is light and crisp with a dry finish. Flavor of lightly toasted barley, grain husks, some pine and citrus hops. Overall: very enjoyable.

There is no date on the bottle. The pour is copper colored with a medium level amount of carbonation. The taste is caramel, baked biscuit, & malts. Cheers! C

This beer is a great staple to have in the fridge, especially for a medium bodied amber lager. Light golden color, smells of toasted barley and malt, taste is the same with slight sharp hop bite at the end, nice dry finish.

On tap at Smoke Signals in Lake Placid, NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells sweet, like a sweet doughiness, with bread, amber malts, grain, and grassy hop character.
This is nothing insane, but it's not as bad as the 77 score indicates. It's not exactly pilsner-esque, more of an amber lager, maybe. It's got a pleasant enough malty sweetness to it. I didn't think I'd love this but it's honestly not that bad.
This is light bodied, crisp and pretty clean, with a very nice drinkability to it.
This is definitely better than the ratings suggest. I'm not saying it's amazing, but it's not bad at all.

German Pilsner my ass. This is indistinguishable from mega-brewery American Adjunct Lager swill. Pure pish. F me for paying $6 for one of these on draft, though in my defense it was branded as the pub's on the tap. I have to believe this is a game Saranac plays a lot to pass off inferior brew. Live and freaking learn...

Thought I had reviewed this before. It's been a while, but I look forward to the next time. Very refreshing pilsner style lager with a hops tang that is not overbearing. Excellent! Wish it was sold within a thousand miles of me.
