Nice dark color, though not totally opaque. Right color for a bottled black and tan. Misses full points for not being layered like a tap black and tan. May not be fair, but it is what it is.
Smells malty and a bit like caramel. Hints of a "burnt" scent--would score higher if not for this.
Bitter and chalky. Not overly so, but enough that it gets a low score for taste. I don't really care for this.
Mouthfeel scores low. It's watery and weak. I wouldn't have believed this had any stout in it if not for the label.
Not a great beer. Weak and watery; disappointing.
