A nice color during the pour of golden amber. A tall frothy, soapy head sits on top but doesn't last very long.
The aroma was wet dank and juicy hops. The smell was subtle and not overpowering.
The taste was mostly malts then hops. The taste was also pretty bitter and along with a dryness lingered into the aftertaste.
Nothing really special here just a well made but bland beer..

M: medium bodied and pretty smooth
D: nice feel and taste combo; pretty good beer, overall

Poured from a 12oz can into a pint glass.
Look: A noticeably lighter, almost AAL-esque golden color with an muddled but not complete haze. Pillowy soft white foam head originally an inch tall, fades to the rim of the glass after drinking a little. Head leaves suds on the glass. Not aggressively carbonated.
Smell: Almost no distinguishable smell, maybe a bit of pine and some citrusy fruit if you really smell hard.
Taste: Immediate malt-heavy sweetness with decent bitterness but nothing super offensive, especially at 60 IBU. Some citrusy and tropical fruit hoppage, maybe with some grapefruit and dried mango notes. Really not a lot of depth.
Feel: Medium body with a lasting soft bitterness that isn't unpleasant. Hops and malt flavor don't stick around. Pretty easy to drink but not flavorful enough to have more than a few.
Overall: A solid, affordable beer, but pretty pedestrian. Good for someone who just popped their IPA cherry and is exploring what they may like. But to the connoisseur, is nothing to write home about.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It pours a golden, honey-yellow with a huge cap of fluffy, bright white head and thick lacing. The nose is malt-forward with notes of lemon peel, grapefruit rind, an floral hops. For 60 IBU, it opens more bitter and less malty than I anticipated. There is abundant tart, bitter grapefruit and lemon, along with resinous pine. The malt is evident but it remains in the background. It's crisp and tangy. The mouthfeel is lite with fairly lively carbonation, and at 6.5% ABV it's very easy to drink. In reading the background on the website, this is an old recipe, which makes sense because it's such a basic, hard-working IPA. It's sessionable and would be great for a picnic, baseball game or any other outdoor activity. In such a setting, Saranac Legacy IPA is as American as apple pie!

Blonde hazy ale, one inch of mostly smooth white head. Good lacing

Slight grass and apple the smell.

Taste is a bit butterscotch, sweet malt a bit of tannins. Light backbone and sugary sweet on finish. Lacks punch of hops normally found in IPA’s

Satisfactory yet unexciting IPA

Draft: Poured a blonde color ale with a medium size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops notes with some light cereal notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of mild citrusy hops, light cereal notes with some light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing earth shattering here but refreshing and well brewed beer nonetheless.

On tap at the Lookout Cafe in Lake George served in a clear plastic cup. A clear orange color with virtually no head. Nose is sweet malts, oranges, lemon, and a little hint of grapefruit. Taste follows the nose but the sweeter malts seem to be the dominant flavor. Mouthfeel is medium and it has an oily finish. Some hops and pine show up in the back, but not too much. Faint bitterness, as well. Not great, but not bad.
