Had this on-tap at the Champlain & Perrin location. Served in a pint glass.
Appearance: Murky copper-brown body with a thin, creamy, tan halo on top. No lacing (no surprise).
Smell: Pine, mushy (overripe) peaches & apricots, and a touch of alcohol. Pretty faint overall.
Taste: Lots and lots of caramel, followed by apricots, wood, resiny hops, and a bucket of alcohol. This beer made both of my parents cringe (awesome to watch), but made me cringe a little too (not awesome).
Mouthfeel: Syrupy and filling. Carbonation is a little low, but right on par for the style. Tiene mucho calor (lots of heat).
Drinkability: Doable, but too hot for me to order a second. Then again... naaah. Nothing too special for a Wee Heavy, but definitely good. If you haven't had it and you're in the area often, give it a try.
