Pours a thin head on a hazy straw colored body.
The aroma is a nice lemon and roasted malt mixture.
The taste is a moderate pine bitterness, sweet candy, then a moderate bitter lemon finish.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
An enjoyable IPA with some bold flavors.

Served in imperial pint glass. Poured a lightly hazy deep honey color, with about 1/4 inch of off-white head that had low retention and lace.

The aroma was very weedy, as expected from a Norcal brewery, with some pine and floral notes over the light malt base. Those descriptors cover the taste as well, weed, pine and floral floating and the mellow malts.

The body was the typical light-medium you find in so many of the style. Drinkability was decent, I'd probably only have one at a sitting, but having a few while gazing at Mt. Shasta would be enjoyable as well. Overall, a solidly decent, if unspecial, brew. Worth trying if you see it.

A: Poured a golden color with good carbonation and a nice white cap

S: Very light citrus on the nose, bit of caramel and light breaad maybe but simple and boring

T: Pretty malty, actually more malt forward than hop forward. Some citrus but simple and pretty unimpressive

M: A maltier IPA with subtle hops, no standing flavor besides a bit of citrus and caramel

O: Another medicore beer

First had: on tap at Irish Pol, Philly, PA

How can anyone turn down trying a beer with a tap head that simply says, "WEED"? That said, this was a bit of a disappointment. Good for one round, but I wouldn't give it much more time than that. It had the punch of an IPA, but not the body/feel.

Poured into a goblet, a hazy orange-yellow with a big, foamy, white head that retained well. Piney, citrusy hops in the aroma, with some sweetness coming through. More of the same in the taste, with a fair balance of piney hops and sweet malts, with a bit of funk going on. Medium mouthfeel, and so-so drinkability.

From the top "A friend with weed is a friend indeed". Should I drink it in the closet alone, or share?

The appearance was a bright gold, medium clarity. The head wasn't anything to write home about, lace as well.

The aroma isn't what I hoped for. The hops are in there, but not in that juicy West Coast way. The overall intensity was a little poor as well. For the most part it was malty, graham crackers, honey, and caramel.

The flavor is still not too extreme in the way of IPAs, but it's better than the nose. The hops are of the herbal grassy variety and do deliver good bitterness, especially through the long finish. A bit of citrus flavor peaks in, to blend with toasty malt flavors and diacetyl. The same dashes of honey and caramel round it out.

The body is a bit light, but not thin. The carbonation is strong, and has a presence through the long dry finish. This one flirts with being a pilsner, just from the character of the hops. Hopheads shouldn't expect a big juicy WCIPA, and cropheads shouldn't expect too much of the sticky icky funk. However it's not a bad brew.

Dark amber appearance, average head and lace. Aroma comes off hoppy, cascades.

Taste, a little maltier, but the hoppiness is still there for an ipa, might have even a little bit of tree in it, redwood or pine or something, reminiscient of Mammoth and how they put sage or whatnot in it. Only real disappointment with this beer is its inconsistency, I suspect I've had a few older ones, swapping sweet maltiness for hoppiness.

Decent enough to check out. A good beer.

Appearance - This is a darkish copper in color with a pretty good head that left some nice lacing.

Smell - I get some vegetative hops and a bit of grapefruit but mostly it's the biscuity yeast that carries this nose.

Taste - The biscuity yeast is even stronger at the taste. I can get the grapefruit OK but it is clearly playing second fiddle in this flavor profile.

Mouthfeel - This is short of medium-bodied with some mild carbonation that fails to contribute.

Drinkability - This was OK but didn't impress. The malt I thought was heavy-handed, the carbonation lacking, and the hop profile was good but too soft.

A: Golden, a little head, OK lacing.

S: Nice grapefruit. Very light. The malt also comes through nicely.

T: Malt is overpowering. Hops are OK, but not great. It's a very simple flavor, and not a good one.

M: Dry, non-astringent, over-carbonated, medium-light body.

D: Not too good, hard to drink.

A: Clear, orange color with tan head that is thin and settles quickly.

S: Bread, roasted malt, honey, and caramel. Hops are not pungent but faint pine and citrus.

T: Sweet at first, caramel, roasted malt, honey, bready, then the hops are bitter, piney, herbal, and citrus.

M: Medium body, light crisp carbonation with some alcohol warmth.

D: An average IPA with no flaws but no big strengths either. It is drinkable.

Pours clear copper with a torrent of carbonation. Aroma is syrupy and thick, with a warm grassy hop. The flavor is thick, gooey and sweet, with a grassy hop and a round, orangy bitterness on the finish. There is an apple-ish edge. Mouthfeel is syrupy. This is a perfect adequate ipa, but nothing nobody else is doing. And it has a syrupy quality that reminds me of a competent homebrew.
