I stopped here recently and picked up Dogfish Head punkin ale,Samuel Smiths. They have more in there coolers than most places around town. Also have a nice glass selection, wine and cigars. You can buy single beers out of the six packs, which is nice if ya just want to sample something.Service is always helpful and nice. The prices are usually your average prices you would about anywhere else. This place is convenient cause close to downtown.I like this place cause its been around for quite a while, and has always had good beer, you could'nt get anywhere else at the time. Check it out.

Avenue Wine Shop is a quaint little brick building just before the light at 18th and Cleveland Ave NW. It is owned and operated by Tony and his wife Theresa. This is my 2nd favorite stop in town. They always keep fresh product in and are always rotating stuff in and out. Prices are on par with everyone else, and everything is available in single bottles (like said before in another review just add .20¢) which is always a plus. When you first walk in, there are a few coolers to your right. The first one has some macros, nothing to really bother with. Past that they have some homebrew supplies. If you turn around, against the opposite wall are two coolers with different beer and right by those coolers there are some shelves with a few more that aren't in the cooler. That's really about it, asides from some glassware next to the register. Selection isn't huge, but it is quality. I will also note they do host beer and wine tastings quite frequently. Bottom line: If you're in the area its worth the stop, but not my #1 stop in town (check my other reviews). Also beware Theresa will tell you its a good beer, she says that about all of them, Tony shoots straight from the hip though!

Located on Cleveland Ave in Canton (right on the HOF parade route!), Avenue Wine Shop is easy to miss. It is a quaint house right off the road. There is a tiny parking lot adjacent that probably doesn't fill up very often.

Inside is very cozy. The bulk of the store is devoted to wine. On the left side are coolers and a couple shelves for beer, and on the right the homebrew and winemaking supplies can be found.

The selection is okay. GLBC, Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn and other micros are available. There is a decent selection of imports as well. All of the 6-packs can be broken into singles which is always nice.

The service here was pleasant on a slow Saturday afternoon. One minor inconvenience is they only accept credit cards for purchases over $15.

All in all the atmosphere and overall quality are better here than Phil's which is not too far away. The store is not large but they stock a pretty good selection of beer and homebrew supplies. Worth a visit if you are in the downtown Canton area.
