This place was listed in the yellow pages as having over 1000 different kinds of beer. It's got a lot but I doubt it's 1000. They have a good selection of east coast microbrews and a decent import selection, except their Belgian section could use a LOT of work. It was nice to see some single bottles available to buy, which wasn't the case in the other Baltimore stores. They have some beer cold, but most is out on shelves. The staff was fairly helpful in finding some items. If you're in the Baltimore area, come here for singles of micros, but go elsewhere for your rare imports. (583 characters)

As some others have said, this is a go-to. Beer selection is solid. Occasionally, you'll find some real gems (I was lucky enough to stumble upon a bottle of Stickee Monkee a couple months back. Bottom line is, you want a pretty decent size variety of beers at a good price, TW is your place. And yes, parking can be a nightmare... (330 characters)

Ok, parking lot can be a clusterf#%, and I've had to park quite a distance around the back of the building. I'm not opposed to walking, but they sell liquids. Liquids are heavy. Sure, there are carts, but then we're taking another trip to return. Honestly, this is not as big a deal as I'm making it sound. I like walking.

It's the biggest liquor store around, and it's a chain that at least has revealed itself with the name change a couple of years ago. There are lots of printed descriptions of everything, and I like to read, but I don't think anyone who works at this location wrote them. There are lots of people with earpieces working throughout the store, less so in the beer section. With the vast selection of beers (the number of singles Is the highlight), I would hope for some beer enthusiasm. I do always get friendly cashiers, and that's not nothing. My biggest peeve with this store is the age of so many beers. I saw a number of IPAs that expired half a year ago, so you really have to check everything. Prices are decent, but I'd rather rely on some of my local shops where it's nice to talk to people who care. (1,130 characters)

Tremendous selection of beers, much like the other Total Wine locations I have visited. Store is well organized with aisles of singles for those looking to bottle shop. Parking is more than adequate but the slope of the lot makes it a challenge to load your car. The only negative is that many of the singles are priced more than the traditional 20% upcharge per bottle. I would come back and shop again if I was in the Baltimore area. (435 characters)

The big draw to Total Wine is their selection and their prices. They have tons of domestic craft and tons of import craft and plenty of singles for a mixed six pack. Limited releases can be hit or miss, as sometimes they have them and keep them up front and sometimes they just put them on the shelf. If I am looking for something common and am in the area I stop here because the prices cannot be beat. They are kind of the Wal-Mart of adult beverage stores.

The one other thing I like is that you can order online and then go pick up your order. This is a way to see their prices and potentially order sale items. (616 characters)

This is the less classy version of the Laurel store.

The parking lot is quite cramped and getting in/out of the place is a little confusing. The inside of the store looks is very yellow and dingy. It feels like a bodega grocery store.

Quality is decent. They have a large selection compared to a lot of other places in MD.

Service is ok, but their specialties are definitely in spirits, wines, and cigars, not beer. However, they can usually point you to something if you have a name already, but not too much for finding new stuff.

They have a decent selection, especially with singles, which is great since they are one of the few places that does mix-sixs in MD. (670 characters)

Beltway has a large selection of wines and liquor... The beer selection is decent. I have found the staff is not very knowledgeable about their beer, but they will be able to tell you the finer details about the hundreds of wines they have in stock. You will find the beer section if you walk from the entrance straight through the store, past the cash registers. It's the last two rows; 6-packs and singles in the first row, cases in the last row, cold beer to the left. Selection caters more towards the domestics crowd, but they do stock a decent selection of imports and craft brews. Just don't go in looking for a specific brew; they may stock it sometimes but if it's gone nobody will know if and when they will have it again. I'll stop in here if I don't have anything particular in mind and want to choose from a broad selection; and they are convenient to I-695; but there are better beer stores in the area. (917 characters)

Beltway used to be Disney World to me. While they have a great selection of liquor and wine, I was kinda disappointed in the beer selection. While it is pretty good, compared with a lot of other places, for all the space they have, they don't have much. Shawan and Honeygo have a better selection to me. You would expect for the amount of sales area, and the boom in craft brew, that they'd try to stock everything. But it can be hit and miss.

The employees don't really talk to you much. If at all. Price was decent for the area. (532 characters)

Visited after DuClaw one night....mixed experience.

The place is essentially on the lower level of a split level building, and the ceiling seems a little lower than I'd expect. This is essentially a Total Wine with a different name slapped on it. One aisle of craft, but it's a long aisle. Selection wasn't excellent, but they had some interesting DuClaw bottles that Honeygo didn't have. Also picked up a bottle of Dogfish Urkontinent, and the price seemed about right. Service was a spotty, as the guy in the aisle pretty much didn't make eye contact with any of us, and solely focused on one customer. The cashier was a little rude and disappeared for a few minutes to get a SKU on a product...OK then. I'd come back, but Honeygo crushes them across the board. (764 characters)
