On tap at the Flying Saucer in Fort Worth.

The beer pours a medium brown color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy on the caramel and toffee with some wheat, bananas and cloves mixed in. Smells just like I think a weizenbock should smell.

The flavor follows suit. There is a lot of heavy malt notes with some caramel and toffee, with some nice spices including cloves and cinnamon. There is also a nice amount of banana mixed in with the flavor. The alcohol is detectable.

Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A: The beer pours a nice brown with a white head.

S: The beer has a lot of sweetness on the nose and some caramel.

T: I think this is one of the best tasting beers from Rahr. It has a good amount of caramel and A LOT of sweet fruity flavors.

M: The beer was very smooth for how much carbonation that it had. It was a very enjoyable mouthfeel.

O: Rahr did a very good job with this beer. It is so tasty and enjoyable.

The goat on the label does indeed look pissed and poised to beat (hoof?) some elven ass! 22 oz bomber (from HEB) pours a dark brown color with a creamy cap of tan head. Not much for retention, but does leave some decent lace. Pretty good looking weizenbock here.

Lots of banana present, cloves are fairly mild and the wheat is soft and supple. I'm surprised at how good this beer smells, as I dont typically think of Rahr as capable of producing a great WB. Chocolate is there but the yeast takes center-stage...as it should.

Not bad, a bit phenolic and the alcohol is a tad on the rough side, but it has some nice yeast character and a smooth chocolate presence.
A few swirls of the glass knocks out some of carbonation and helps smooth things out. Sweetness is just about right, just enough to give it a rich body and offset the alcohol...which is big. Smooth out the alc and add a bit more roastily-smooth chocolate and this one would be damn near world-class. <clap, clap>...I think this is the best in the 'To Thee' series since the Bourbon Barrel Winter Warmer. Better as it warms to around maybe 45 or so. I would (and will) have no problem sending this tasty treat out in trades or BIFs.

Beers pours a very dark almost black brown. Brown head that is not very strong.

Aroma is of roast and chocolate. No hop aroma and no yeast esters. Also no wheat aroma which would be nice.

Taste is wonderful, creamy texture, roast and chocolate. No wheat taste but still very good.

mouthful is creamy, not as full bodied as I would like.

Overall a tasty beer. Not great for the style but if it is a good beer I could care less!

Bottle from local bottle shop.
Pours a dark dark amber color with about a finger of head.
Nose is a lot of banana, sweetness, and what smells like the remnants of lactose... also a hint of a coriander. Taste is much better than I was expecting. I get a dark fruitiness, touch of cinnamon, and a hint if Belgian yeast and Munich malts.
Mouthfeel is pretty thick, shockingly so... well carbed, this was a pleasant surprise!
