Had sample at SN Beer Camp Philly

A-Mostly clear orange amber with a lasting film of cream.

S-Aroma is Belgium yeast and a touch of spicy honey.

T-Tastes of Belgium yeast, a touch of honey, spice and citrus zest.

M-Light-medium body has medium carbonation and finishes dry.

O-Overall was very happy to try this local brew.

12 oz.can poured into a can glass.

Appearance - Hazy pale orange. Big white head that sticks inside the glass and leaves a layer of foam atop the beer.

Smell - Phenolic. Cloves, bananas. Light citrus and lots of yeast.

Taste - Again, a bit of citrus up front. Pale malt and banana fruitiness. I get some spices in the back end and a bit of sweetness lingers longer than necessary.

Mouthfeel - Medium, but still feels sluggish. Well carbonated.

Overall - Drinks ok, but not very interesting. Very little hop presence. Just yeast flavors.

poured can into a bell's tulipy snifter. transparent but rich honey yellow with a generous few fingers of foamy head that never seemed to fully dissolve. some streaky lace as well.

nose is very inviting, leading with pear and soft belgian sweetness. very fruity...really nice.

taste follows suit but with a bit of heat painted over the spectrum of a surprisingly peppery BPA. body is that of an american belgian lacking the creaminess i love from these styles, but a well represented american take on a belgian classic. easy drinking and it comes in a can!!!

Thanks to Slatetank for gifting me with a can of this. Poured into a standard pint, the brew appears a hazy golden color with a white cap that paints spotty lace all over the glass.

The aromas has a bit of orange rind component and overall feels a little muted without much else to note. Not saying thats a bad thing, just missing some of the desired yeastiness.

The taste is fruity with alcohol esters coming into play with minimal belgian yeast notes and a bit of caramel malt sweetness.

This is a medium bodied brew with a modest amount of carnbonation. Overall not bad but a bit perplexing. Not quite sure what im even drinking here style-wise.

Appearance: Pours out a clear amber capped by an inch of foam; a few strands of lace linger

Smell: Stone fruit, lemon and bread with a touch of candi sugar and white pepper

Taste: Very fruity, with pear, apple, lemon and a hint of peach; candi sugar sweetness builds in the middle with peppery spice tones developing; nicely balanced in the finish between the fruit, the sweetness and the spice

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: A really nice domestic version of a Belgian style; not many US craft brewers can brew it at this level

Ozzy pours a clear golden color with a nice large lacing head. There is a nice creamy aroma with nice pepper aroma. The taste and a nice sweet candy flavor, with some pepper notes. Nice body, but flavors are a bit watery. Overall its a nice beer, some nice creamy flavors, very drinkable but watery.
