A: Pours a lightly hazy reddish-brown color. The amber-colored head is fairly tall initially, with a somewhat dense, foamy texture. Retention is solid, and quite a few splotchy rings of lace cling to the glass.
S: Quite sweet up front. Toffee and caramel is prominent. Quite a bit of orchard fruitiness as well, with notes of golden apples and ripe pears, with faint banana tones. Some leafy and herbal hop aroma is also detectable. Faint spice and alcohol aromas are also present.
T: A malty, sweet beer initially. Caramel, toffee, and Belgian sugar take the fore. Hops arrive midway through to add some balancing bitterness and a bit of leafy flavor. Fruity esters are noticeable, with the same orchard and raisin notes as in the nose. Spicy notes arrive later on, along with some alcohol.
M: Medium body. Actually a bit light for the style, to me. Carbonation is smooth and on the lighter side of medium. There's a bit of alcohol heat here. The mouthfeel does linger a bit into the finish.
O: This is a solid American take on a Belgian dubbel. It grew on me a bit as I drank it, but it never wowed me. It seemed a bit scattered compared to some of the better versions of the style, but it was still enjoyable.

A) Pours with a finger thick head then settles to a thin lacing across the top. Hazy copper colored body.
S) Raisin, clove. Some citrus notes.
T) Plum. Raisin. Clove. Caramel. In that order. A pleasant taste profile.
M) Medium body. Smooth. Creamy. Slight dry in the finish.
O) A tasty dubbel. If I had another can I'd drink it!
